WORKFORCE ASSESSMENT
CENTRE

[Creative Academy For EduTainmenT]

The Oral Tradition ROOTS Foundation has been APPROVED by the National Training Agency (NTA) as a Workforce Assessment Centre (WAC) to deliver the Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) component.

The Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) programme gives both young people and adults the opportunity to earn a recognized qualification based on the knowledge, skills, and experience they have already gained through life, work, volunteering, community involvement, and creative practice.

Whether you learned through formal employment, helping in a family business, church or community service, media production, entrepreneurship, or years of hands-on experience, PLAR allows your existing abilities to be assessed and recognized without starting from scratch.

For youths, PLAR creates a pathway to confidence, employment, entrepreneurship, and further education by turning practical skills into nationally recognized certification.

For older adults, PLAR is an opportunity to finally receive formal recognition for years of experience and expertise that may have never been certified. Many skilled individuals have spent decades working, mentoring, creating, managing, or serving their communities but lack the official credentials needed to advance professionally or access new opportunities.

Through the PLAR process, candidates are assessed by qualified professionals who evaluate their competency against industry standards, helping individuals transform experience into recognized qualifications and empowering them toward lifelong learning, employment, and personal development.

ROOTS Foundation has officially launched its Workforce Assessment Centre under its flagship project ROOTS CAFÉTT
